Teachers

Heather Guess

I obtained my Reiki 1 training over 20 years ago and completed my 200 hour YTT  in 2020 with teacher Cindy Kostecki of Crowtown Yoga in conjunction with South River Yoga. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT200.

I truly believe that life is a continuous journey of growth, and that true health is holistic—weaving together our mind, body, and spirit. Our bodies are designed with an innate capacity to heal themselves, and yoga is the perfect tool to help unlock that power. I founded Humble Warrior Yoga to create a welcoming space where others can fall in love with this practice just as I did. This isn't a studio where you have to be perfect; it’s a community where we walk our unique paths alongside one another.

My classes are rooted in breathwork, balance, and a heavy dose of self-compassion.  I love weaving the deeper philosophy of yoga into our practice, but I also cherish those moments when a contagious giggle ripples through the room like school kids trying not to laugh When I see you shining my heart overflows with joy and I know I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

When I'm not on the mat, I keep busy wearing a few other hats.  I manage my husband’s practice, Five Point Chiropractic and I still retain my Broker license at Olde Town Realty. To recharge, I prioritize quality time with my family and find my own peace outdoors.

I am a small business owner--Heidi the Hidden Hippie-- Massage Therapy, Esthetics, and Yoga.  I am currently teaching for Humble Warrior Yoga.

I obtained my medical massage license in 2004 and went on to obtain a 200-hour trigger point therapy course with Earle Timberlake.  I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in August 2020 through Cindy Kostecki with Crowtown Yoga affiliated with South River Yoga.  I received my esthetics license in 2021.  I am also a level 2 reiki practitioner.

My passion is to help people in a non-invasive, safe, happy, healthy environment to become the best versions of themselves through mind, body, and spirit to love themselves just as they are and to bring more love and light into our universe by putting out more positive.

I enjoy anything outdoors, traveling, exploring, spending time with those who feed my higher good.

My vibe:

❀ Guilty pleasure cookie dough and a cup of coffee

❀ Soul care

❀ Sun, sand, and the sound of the ocean

❀ Motorcycle meditation is a real thing.  It’s wind therapy.

I am a retired junior high school teacher, and currently work part-time as an advisor for Coshocton CARES in the River View school district helping students with college and career readiness.  I am a mom of three and mamaw of six, and mommy to two crazy Siberian Huskies.

Since 2021 I've had both hips replaced, and in August 2025 I had a reverse shoulder replacement.  I go to the gym regularly to work on strength building, and I take 2-3 yoga classes a week in addition to teaching.  I hope to be a good example for older students committing to a healthy body after joint replacement.

My passion is to help people of all ages use yoga to combat the stresses in life and the effects of aging.

My happy stuff:

❀ Purple petunias

❀ Writing a children's book about my ancestors

I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with The Yoga Booth Academy in the Spring of 2026. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT200.

With more than 30 years in the medical field I have built a career centered on service, trust, and calm guidance. I offer a gentle, grounding approach to my classes focusing on intentional movement, breathwork, and creating space for restoration, healing, and connection. I believe we are most powerful when the mind, body and spirit are honored together.

I am a Reiki practitioner, and I have certifications in Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing.  Additionally, I have  completed training in Self Myofascial Release.

For me, yoga has become so much more than movement. It has been a deep personal journey of healing, mindfulness, and growth. It is a lifestyle that shapes your thoughts, actions, and awareness both on and off the mat.

I am passionate about creating meaningful experiences where students feel supported, grounded, and welcomed exactly as they are.

Off the mat you will find me actively supporting initiatives that strengthen the local community. I am honored to be a wife, a mother, a Gigi, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I enjoy reading, time in nature (you just might find me on my yoga deck in my woods), and making memories with my family.

  Things that make me happy:

❀   I love slow mornings on the porch with my coffee listening to nature wake up

❀  Chocolate, coffee, and tea have my whole heart. Well, maybe pizza does too!

❀  I love the salty air, the sounds of the ocean and binge reading a good book with my feet in the sand.

❀  A long hot bubble bath soothes the soul and I am there for it!
